PREVENTATIVE MAINTENANCE

The following maintenance should be done periodically

SPARK PLUG

The spark plug should be carefully cleaned and If necessary discard after 25 running hours and the electrode gap should also be checked (6-7 mm).

AIR FILTER

After 26 running hours, use gasoline to carefully clean and dry the filter.

SCREWS & NUTS

After 25 running hours check and tighten up all the screws and nuts.

MUFFLER

After 50 running hour remove the muffler from the cylinder and then de-scale the exhaust port of both the muffler and the cylinder, paying attention that no scales get into the cylinder.

GEAR BOX

After The gearbox on your Roller Cycle, Halle Cycle is virtu-ally maintenance free. Check from time to time to see if any grease is leaking by visually examining the gearbox. At least once every 2 years, disassemble the top lid of your Roller Cycle, Halle Cycle gearbox and remove waste grease. Apply new grease liberally on the sprockets.

CHAIN

The tension on the chain drive should be check prior to operation for slack. Optimum play is 1 cm  Use the adjustment brackets on the tire axle to adjust this tension.  Be sure to keep

BRAKE ASSIST

Brake  In the event your brake cable becomes loose and gap becomes greater, readjust to set a smaller gap and tighten.

CABLES

Both throttle and brake cables must be checked prior to each operation. Look for wear, kinks, and proper adjustment (fig. 1 and 2 pp 10-11)

TIRES

Tires must be routinely checked for proper air pressure and wear. The tire pressure should be between 25 and 30 lbs. depending on the wieght of the rider. Be sure not to inflate the tire unevenly. Fill slowly while centering tire to avoid buldges. Replace tire as tread wears.

 

STARTING PROCEDURES

STARTING

The two cycle motor uses a gas and oil mixture at the ration of 32:1 (thirty two to one). This means for every gallon of gas you add 4 ounces of oil. On the cap there is a reminder. It says 32:1.

• If not mixed to proper ratio, the engine performance may decrease, or damage to the engine may occur.
• Use a gauged bottle to measure proper oil mixture.
• For a perfect mix every time, use empty container and add two gallons of new gasoline. Then add a new 8 oz container of kcompletely mixed. • 1 Gallon add 4 OZ.
